Support Dr. Amanda Stewart's cross-country move

PharmGradWishlist is excited to continue the 2022 graduating class's Large Item Lottery!

Racially and ethnically minoritized pharmacy graduates from across the country submit large-item requests to PGWL along with their wish lists. PGWL leadership randomly selects an individual for a coordinated fundraiser to support getting them their large item. If you are a graduating URM student, do not hesitate to submit your information at www.Pharmgradwishlist.org/sponsee-signup

Now for our next Large Item Lottery fundraiser, Dr. Amanda Stewart!

Dr. Stewart graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of California San Diego, Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences on May 14! She will be pursuing a PGY1 residency at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and plans to pursue a PGY2 in Critical Care in the future. Originally from Atlanta, GA, Dr. Stewart made a big impact at UCSD SSPPS. She co-founded the UCSD SSPPS SNPhA chapter with 3 colleagues. As a student representative on the Committee on Educational Policy, she was involved with approving an elective course focusing on pharmacist-specific cannabis education to equip future pharmacists with the knowledge to effectively answer patients' questions. She was actively involved in Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, where she relied on problem-solving skills and advocated for her peers as the pledge class president. As a 2021 AACP Walmart Scholar, Dr. Stewart gained perspective into academia and realized her passion for becoming a pillar of support for student pharmacists in the future as a professor and preceptor. Ultimately, she hopes to contribute to immunology research and serve as a trustworthy source of health information to patients of color.

#PharmGradWishlist is fundraising to support Dr. Stewart as she prepares to make the cross-country move for residency.
